Born in 1959 in Grenoble, manuel Dessort returns to his roots after a stint in Dijon and Paris.
In 1977 he won the 1st Prize of drawing at the General Competition of the High Schools. After a first cycle at the Beaux-Arts de Dijon in 1978, he continued two cycles of studies at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. He became a graphic designer in a publishing company with illustrators such as Loup, Cabu and Siné, then a chromist in a lithography workshop. Back in Grenoble in 1986, he really began his career as a draughtsman and painter. At the same time he teaches graphic design at CEFREP in Crolles.

In 1988 a solo exhibition was dedicated to him at the Geo-Charles d’Échirolles Museum…
