His current work is based on the destruction of an oblong shaped volume. This form, which he considers as essential in the same way as the sphere or the cube, constitutes the common thread of his approach.
It uses two millimetre thick sheet metal. The circles he shapes to create his sculptures have for him the symbolism of the cycle, the eternal restarting, the fullness and therefore Life.
The latter evoking the movement.
He likes the idea of contradictions: giving movement to rigidity, exploiting the technical properties of iron to generate “stable imbalances”, working on patinas to create confusion on the material of which his works are made.
The field of investigation being wide and its need to vary the nuances between each piece, makes it oscillate between sculptures very much in movement and others playing more on contrasts of materials, or both.
He has no other pretensions in his journey than to show works with harmonious and singular forms.
His creations have no name because none seem relevant to him and he likes the idea of total freedom of interpretation….
