Born in 1959 in Grenoble, manuel Dessort returned to his roots after a stint in Dijon and Paris, in 1977 he won the 1st Prize in the General High School Drawing Competition, and in 1978 after a first cycle at the Beaux-Arts in Dijon, he continued two cycles of studies at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.He became a graphic designer in a publishing company with illustrators such as Loup, Cabu and Siné, then a chromist in a lithography workshop, returning to Grenoble in 1986, he really began his career as a draftsman and painter.In 1988, he had a solo exhibition at the Geo-Charles d’Échirolles Museum, and from 1995 to 2005 he worked as a draftsman for the CEA of Grenoble and the Mairie de Meylan, while teaching plastic arts and graphic design. he also collaborated on joint metal sculpture creations with the architect François Boutier and participated in several solo and collective exhibitions as a draftsman and painter.
